Since GPS technology has been around for a few several years it is now possible to find a great GPS unit without spending a great deal. If you are looking basic navigation there are several options and with some good bargain hunting you can get your ideal GPS system for $100. There are some things to consider however when looking for a great deal. With this GPS you most likely won't get some of the features available in the newer GPS system.

GPS units for under $100.

Surprisingly you can now find GPS systems from top manufacturers like TomTom and Magellan for under $100. Although these systems won't have all the features available in the higher end units they still offer great features and easy to use interfaces

If you are not so brand conscious you should take a look at some some lesser known manufacturers. GPS technology has been around for a while and almost every GPS system is going to get you where you want to go. The money saved by purchasing an inexpensive unit, could car to donate up for what you sacrifice in brand. Manufacturers like Pharos and Mio offer great deal and may have some extra features only available on more expensive brand name models.

Skepticism is healthy when bargain hunting and it is important to think about what features you may be missing out on with a less expensive GPS. The more expensive units have features that may or may not be important to you so but regardless it is good to know when looking for a great deal.

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of refurbished in damaged, but this is not necessarily the case. A product can be labeled refurbished for a number of reasons such as a damaged box or just a store return that had no mechanical problems. Let's face it there is also a fear of the unknown when buying a refurbished product, but the reward probably far outweighs the risk.
